Early Career-Tech Satellites

Tolles believes that the earlier students get exposure to potential career and college pathways, the better. Tolles is committed to providing opportunities for career exploration and readiness to middle school and early high school students in grades 7-10.
 
Programs: Ag Bioscience - Information Technology - Career Connections - Pre-Engineering & Manufacturing - Project INC

Ag Bioscience at Fairbanks Middle School

  • Students can begin to explore the world of agriculture, bioscience, and more in this exclusive middle school program housed at Fairbanks Middle School.
Quick Facts: 
  • This program can begin a pathway into the 9th and 10th grade Ag Bioscience program to be offered at Fairbanks H.S.
  • Students can eventually have the option of a direct pathway into the Tolles Outdoor Careers program during their junior and senior years of high school.



Information Technology at Jonathan Alder Junior High & High School

  • Tolles offers a complete pathway for students interested in the fields of computer science, web design, and information technology beginning during the 7th-grade year at JAJH. Students can continue their studies in these areas at JAHS during the freshman and sophomore years.
Quick Facts:

  • Students in 7th and 8th grade can focus on IT career exploration at Jonathan Alder Junior High.
  • Students can continue their pathway into the freshman and sophomore years in the high school IT program.
  • This can give students the option of continuing on to Tolles in either the Computer Networking & Support Technology or Interactive Media programs.




Career Connections at West Jefferson Middle School

  • Tolles and West Jefferson Middle School have teamed up to create a Career Connections class that allows students to analyze interests, aptitudes, and skills in order to determine what they want and expect for their future careers.

  • Students in 7th and 8th grade can focus on career exploration at West Jefferson Middle School.
  • Students will explore multiple career pathways, including exploration of the 16 national career clusters
  • Emphasis will be placed on improving the soft skills needed for any career.
  • Students will learn about various traditional and non-traditional careers and will expand their technology skills by researching the educational and personal requirements needed to be successful in various careers.



Pre-Engineering & Manufacturing at Jonathan Alder Junior High & High School

  • The fields of engineering, robotics, and advanced manufacturing are some of the most in-demand in our region, in Ohio, and in the world. Students get the unique opportunity to explore an interest in this area at JAJH and then can continue the interest further at JAHS.

  • Students in 7th and 8th grade can focus on engineering, robotics and advanced manufacturing career exploration at Jonathan Alder Junior High.
  • Students can continue their pathway into the freshman and sophomore years in the high school pre-engineering and manufacturing program at Jonathan Alder High School.
  • This can give students the option of continuing on to Tolles in the Engineering & Manufacturing or Welding & Fabrication program.
  • Students will be given access to Tolles’ new RAMTEC Center, a statewide Straight A Grant initiative, that provides access to VEX Robotics and some of the most innovative training equipment in the area.


 


Hilliard Business Academy at the Hilliard Innovative Learning Center

  • Middle school students are able to explore careers in the areas of marketing, business, and entrepreneurship in this unique opportunity that is connected to Tolles’ Hilliard Business Academy Satellite, a partnership with Hilliard City Schools at the McVey Innovative Learning Center.
 Quick Facts:
  • Students in middle school explore business careers and entrepreneurship at Hilliard City Schools’ McVey Innovative Learning Center.
  • Students could eventually continue their pathway in marketing, business or entrepreneurship by enrolling in the Hilliard Business Academy program at the ILC.
